Overview

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Machine Operative to join our production team. You\'ll play a key role in ensuring smooth operations by running machinery, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to a safe, efficient working environment.

Location: Launceston
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor packaging machinery to ensure smooth and efficient production.

  • Set up machines according to production schedules and specifications.

  • Perform routine checks and basic maintenance to minimise downtime.

  • Ensure packaging meets quality standards through regular inspections.

  • Follow health & safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organised work area.

  • Report any machine faults or issues promptly to supervisors.

  • Assist with loading materials and handling finished products.

  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets.

  • Complete production records and maintain accurate documentation.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and safety.

Essential Requirements
  • Previous Production or General Warehouse experience (essential)

  • Basic numeracy skills (mandatory)

  • Good spoken English

Hours
  • Friday & Saturday: 9:00 PM - 6:00 AM

  • Sunday: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Pay Rates
  • Initial Rate: £16.41/hour

  • After 12 Weeks: £21.71/hour

  • + Weekend Shift Allowance: £2.96/hour (only for hours worked on weekends)
