M&E Lead Engineer

Location - Paddington, W2 6BD

Hours - Monday - Friday, 07:00-16:00 / 10:00 - 17:00 (on shift rota)

There is also an enhanced call out allowance and overtime rates with the role.

We are currently seeking a professional site-based M&E Lead Engineer based at a commercial client site. The role focuses on the delivery of planned preventative maintenance, reactive fault finding, repairs, and installations. You will assist in the day-to-day running of your M&E team.

As a qualified M&E Lead Engineer, you will report to the Contract Supervisor to monitor the progress of all PPM and Reactive works, ensuring jobs are completed correctly and efficiently. You will manage breakdowns, reactive, and PPM works, supporting the team in resolving problems. You will also be fully familiar with permit to work duties and assist in operating the system.

The Lead M&E Engineer will work within a team, contributing individually and collectively to provide exceptional service and compliance. Building good working relationships with clients, customers, subcontractors, and colleagues is essential.

Skills & Experience:
  • 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulation and other formal electrical qualifications
  • Mechanical awareness, FCU & AHU maintenance tasks
  • Water Testing (L8), Fire Alarm testing, and general handyperson tasks
  • Experience overseeing a team of engineers and leading by example

Full training will be provided. You should have experience working in a similar environment.
