Job summary

A leading engineering firm is looking for an experienced M&E CAD Technician to work in North Wales with hybrid flexibility. You will produce detailed project deliverables and collaborate with design leads and site managers. The ideal candidate should have strong AutoCAD skills and understanding of M&E sectors. This contract position offers a competitive rate of £28-30 per hour, with a duration of 6 months plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in producing accurate, detailed and to scale drawings.
• Ability to make changes to existing designs.
• Capacity to work in a time-effective manner.

Responsibilities

• Produce project deliverables as per Design Lead schedules.
• Liaise with Design Leads for allocated checkers and approvers.
• Monitor timescales and costs, escalate issues to Design Lead.

Role: M&E CAD Technician

Contract Length: 6 months +
IR35: TBC
Rate: 28-30ph

Key Responsibilities

• Produces project deliverables in accordance with Design Lead schedules.
• Liaise with Design Leads for allocated checkers and approvers for each deliverable.
• Ensure timescales and costs are monitored and any issues escalated to Design Lead.
• Liaise with sub-contractors, suppliers and Design Consultants where used.
• Closely liaises with Site Managers and Project Engineers and provides design input to this level.

Essential / Desirable Skills

• AutoCAD 2D / 3D experience.
• AutoCAD Plant experience preferred.
• M&E background and understanding.
• Water / utilities / process industry experience preferred.
• Produce and provide accurate, detailed and to scale drawings.
• Make changes to existing designs.
• Work in a time-effective manner.
