Job summary

A private equity backed services organization based in London is seeking an M&A Manager to implement growth strategies and manage acquisition processes. The ideal candidate will have an accounting background and significant experience in M&A within people-based services. Responsibilities include identifying targets, leading due diligence, and presenting reports to management. Ambition to grow into an M&A Director role is essential.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in M&A, corporate finance, corporate acquisitions, or private equity.
  • Preferably experience within people-based service businesses.
  • Ambition and drive to progress towards becoming an M&A Director.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the group's M&A strategy in alignment with business objectives.
  • Identify potential acquisition targets and maintain industry contacts.
  • Lead the due diligence process, including financial, legal, and operational assessments.
  • Oversee the M&A transaction process from engagement to closing.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management on M&A activities.

Overview

SF Executive are partnered with a PE backed services organisation who are seeking an M&A Manager to join their team. The organisation has a growth strategy in which this individual will play a key role.

Responsibilities
  • Implementing the group's M&A strategy in alignment with the group's overall business objectives and growth plans
  • Identifying potential acquisition targets that align with the group's strategic goals and values, and establish and maintain relationships with industry contacts
  • Developing the group's M&A criteria and screen and evaluate targets before progressing to offer stage
  • Managing the pipeline of acquisition opportunities using the group's CRM platform
  • Leading and manage the due diligence process, including financial, legal and operational assessments of target businesses
  • Overseeing all aspects of the M&A transaction process, from initial engagement to closing and post-acquisition integration
  • Leading financial modelling and valuation analysis and develop financing proposal
  • Developing and manage integration plans to ensure seamless transition and alignment of acquired firms with the group's operations and culture
  • Preparing and presenting regular reports to senior management on the progress, challenges, and outcomes of M&A activities
  • Preparing investment papers for the board and the investor as required
Qualifications
  • Accounting background (ACA/ ACCA/ ACMA) and significant experience in M&A, corporate finance, corporate acquisitions or private equity; preferably within people-based service businesses
  • Excellent communication skills with a high level of integrity, professionalism, and ethics
  • Ambition and drive to progress towards becoming an M&A Director
