Band 8A Advanced Clinical Specialist Speech and Language Therapist - Head and Neck Cancer/Voice
We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist for one day per week to join our established Head and Neck Cancer/Voice team within the Acute Adult Speech and Language Therapy Team based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. This is part of succession planning for flexible retirement within the team.
You will demonstrate significant depth and breadth of clinical knowledge, specialist skills and experience in head and neck cancer and voice disorders. You will also have experience supporting the development of less experienced Speech and Language Therapists within this clinical area.
Your role will encompass in-patient and out-patient work, operating within an established multidisciplinary team. The team values collaborative working to promote optimal patient rehabilitation and recovery and to contribute to service development initiatives.
Aberdeen Royal Infirmary is a large teaching hospital. The Speech and Language Therapy service covers a wide range of acute hospital patient care, including neurosciences and acute stroke.
Within our small, supportive team there are established pathways for peer support, mentoring and supervision, and a commitment to learning and development opportunities.
