The Department for Transport (DfT) is a UK government department responsible for the transport network in England. It sets policy, provides funding, and oversees major transport infrastructure projects. Our work tackles important questions such as ‘what role should low carbon fuels play in the transition to net zero?’ ‘How much support should the Government give to low carbon fuels?’ ‘Which type of fuels should the Government support and how?’ and ‘How does our policy affect the UK low carbon fuels industry?’
