Job summary

A logistics and supply company in Northern Ireland seeks a reliable driver with an HGV Class 1 Licence to collect and deliver goods. Responsibilities include maintaining documentation, daily inspections, and forklift operation. Ideal candidates should have excellent communication skills and geographical knowledge of the region. Working hours are 45 per week with varied shifts from Monday to Friday. A Counterbalance Forklift Licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Full and current UK Driving Licence with HGV Class 1 Licence.
• No more than 3 penalty points on licence.
• Valid CPC Card.

Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver raw material/finished goods to meat plants.
• Complete daily raw collection sheet and vehicle cleaning records.
• Keep all documentation presentable and return signed to office.

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver raw material / finished goods to meat plants and various locations in Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland in a reliable courteous manner;
• Complete daily raw collection sheet, daily vehicle safety inspection sheet and required vehicle cleaning records;
• Keep all documentation in a presentable manner and return signed to office as required;
• Forklift driving as well as loading and unloading of lorries.

The Person

• Full and current UK Driving Licence with HGV Class 1 Licence;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Experience of driving artic lorries;
• No more than 3 penalty points on licence;
• Excellent geographical knowledge of Northern Ireland and Ireland road network;
• Valid CPC Card.

Preference will be given to those with

• Counterbalance Forklift Licence.

Hours of work are 45 hours per week Monday to Friday with variable start and finish times on a four week rotation as outlined below:

• North Run: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• South Run: 1 day per week: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 4 days per week: 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM, (10:30 AM starts when deliveries require)
• Donegal Late Run: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM (10:30 AM starts when deliveries require)
• Donegal Early Run: 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM
