A Locum Post to cover maternity leave: Consultant Obstetrician (10 PA) for a fixed term of 1 year starting from the 1st of October.
Qualifications
- Full GMC registration, including a License to Practice
- On the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCT or equivalent
Job Details
- Initially offered on a 10 PA basis
- Expected to contribute to on-call duties (4th on call, non-resident)
- Support for specialist resident doctors (second and third on call) and junior resident doctor (first on call)
- Consultant coverage includes daytime and nighttime shifts with a flexible rota (LD 8am-8pm, nights 8pm-8am)
- Current nighttime on call frequency is 1:16 for full-time consultants
- Night on call is resident until 2200 daily, non-resident thereafter based on clinical needs

- Antenatal clinics twice a week
- Ward rounds
- Caesarean section lists
- Postnatal clinics

- Supported by a team of Specialty Trainees, MTI Fellows, trust-grade medical staff, GP VTS trainees, and Foundation doctors
