Job description

A Locum Post to cover maternity leave: Consultant Obstetrician (10 PA) for a fixed term of 1 year starting from the 1st of October.

Qualifications
  • Full GMC registration, including a License to Practice
  • On the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCT or equivalent
Job Details
  • Initially offered on a 10 PA basis
  • Expected to contribute to on-call duties (4th on call, non-resident)
  • Support for specialist resident doctors (second and third on call) and junior resident doctor (first on call)
  • Consultant coverage includes daytime and nighttime shifts with a flexible rota (LD 8am-8pm, nights 8pm-8am)
  • Current nighttime on call frequency is 1:16 for full-time consultants
  • Night on call is resident until 2200 daily, non-resident thereafter based on clinical needs
