Applications are invited for a fixed term locum post until April 2026 to work in the Hand and Wrist Surgery team. The post is open to a suitably trained Orthopaedic or Plastic Surgeon. A regular on-call commitment will compose part of the job plan.
The post holder will be responsible for covering hand trauma and elective commitments as detailed in the job plan. They will take part in departmental teaching, training, governance and performance.

Employment is subject to a six-month probation. Some roles may require weekend shifts at multiple sites.

The post holder must be medically qualified and maintain GMC specialist registration.
Adhere to the Trust Patient Service Commitment and adopt a professional approach to patient care at all times.
Develop clinical practice through self-reflection and learning from experience, application of research into practice and active contribution within the multi-disciplinary team.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
