A premier teaching hospital in the United Kingdom is seeking a highly motivated Locum Consultant in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia. You will provide consultant anaesthetic cover for surgeries, supervise junior anaesthetists, and support the provision of high-quality perioperative care. Applicants should possess relevant medical qualifications and experience in cardiac anaesthesia. The role includes flexibility in work arrangements and active participation in clinical governance. Applications are invited for enthusiastic and highly motivated Locum Consultants in Anaesthesia to join our team at Glenfield Hospital within the University Hospitals of Leicester.
The Glenfield hospital is renowned for Cardiac, Cardiology, ECMO and Thoracic services. In addition, elective and emergency theatres support vascular, urology, hepatobiliary, renal transplant and breast specialties.
Glenfield Hospital, one of the largest cardiac centre's in the country performing approximately 1000 cases a year, is a tertiary referral centre for complex aortic surgery, on and off pump grafts, valve surgeries including a mini-mitral service and adult congenital cardiac disease. The case mix is complex and reviewed by a MDT team consisting of surgeons, anaesthetists and intensivists. MDT discussions are supported by high risk assessment clinics in both cardiac surgery and cardiology.
