We are seeking a full‑time Locum Consultant Radiologist with an interest in Cardiothoracic Imaging to support the expansion of radiology services across multiple sites, including a new Community Diagnostic Centre expected to open in December 2026.
NUH hosts a large lung cancer service, diagnosing and treating 600 new cases per annum. It also features a tertiary cardiothoracic surgical unit and the regional PET centre.
NUH pioneered a completely radiology‑led day‑case ambulatory lung biopsy service, offering direct‑to‑home discharge from CT in over 95% of lung biopsies.
Provide diagnostic imaging for CT, MRI, plain film, ultrasound and interventional procedures, supporting the existing group of seven thoracic radiologists.
Participate in oncological MDTs, a range of clinico‑radiological meetings, undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and research with the Sir Peter Mansfield Imaging Centre.
Collaborate with body radiologists across both sites and may in the future undertake clinical sessions at neighbouring Trusts.
Work flexible call rosters, ranging from 1:10 diagnostic on‑call to 1:8 interventional body radiology, according to clinical skill set.
With over 19,000 staff, NUH is committed to research, education and innovation, and to a career‑focusing approach to personal development.
We welcome applications from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic, or Disabled people to enhance diversity and representation.
Applicants must hold the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) or equivalent, and be registered with the GMC, ideally on the Specialist Register. Possession of a CCT (or equivalent) is desirable; CESR completion is supported.

The successful applicant will work flexibly in a team, develop new services, and collaborate with body radiologists across both sites.
