Line Leader – Fresh Produce | Outskirts of Canterbury | Temp - Perm

Salary: £13.45 per hour starting, rising to £17.27 per hour once Level 3 competent
Shifts: Multiple patterns available (5 on 2 off | 4 on 4 off | 4 on 3 off | 3 on 4 off) – to be confirmed at interview
Location: Canterbury area (free on-site parking)

Our client is a well-established supplier of fresh produce to major UK retailers. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Line Leader to join their team and play a vital role in ensuring production runs smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with fresh produce or food manufacturing experience who is ready to take the next step in their career.

As a Line Leader, you’ll be responsible for managing a team of operatives on the packing line, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety at all times.

Your key duties will include:

• Running the packing line smoothly and meeting production targets
• Carrying out pre-start checks and ensuring PPE compliance
• Training and supporting packing staff
• Ordering and setting up packaging and line equipment
• Communicating priorities clearly to the team
• Checking produce quality, packaging, and labelling
• Completing paperwork accurately and on time
• Liaising with Planning and Management teams

• Previous fresh produce or food manufacturing experience
• Experience as a Line Leader or in a similar supervisory role
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Knowledge of food safety and compliance
• A proactive, hands-on approach with attention to detail
• Team player with a problem-solving mindset
