Job summary

A proactive children's activity provider is seeking a Lifeguard to ensure the safety of children during swimming sessions and assist in delivering recreational activities at camps. The role requires a qualified lifeguard who enjoys working with children aged 4–14. This is a seasonal position that may vary in hours depending on location and availability. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills and a passion for child development. The position offers an opportunity to participate in diverse activities while ensuring children's welfare.

Qualifications

Job description
The Details: Title: Lifeguard
  • Reporting to: Camp Manager
  • Contract: Seasonal work in school holidays.
  • Hours will vary for each camp depending on the location and pool availability. Full season or part season roles available.
Summary of Position

The role of the Lifeguard is to ensure the welfare and safety of children on camp is always maintained, and to act as a lifeguard during our swimming sessions on camp. During swimming sessions, you will be the sole lifeguard on poolside, accompanied by an Activity instructor(s) leading an activity for children aged 4–14 years. Between lifeguarding duties, if above 18, you will be part of our Instructor Team delivering outstanding sports sessions, arts and crafts activities and games to groups of children, with an emphasis being on participation, care, and development. If you are under 18, outside of lifeguarding you will help support the Instructor Team with the activities and general cleanliness of the camp. As well as leading sessions, staff contribute to the high standard of physical, emotional, and social care offered by Ultimate Activity Camps. Our Activity Instructors have a pastoral role as the leader of a group of children on camp, with the focus being on maintaining welfare and providing high quality care.
