A local government council in England is seeking a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to support children and young people in unregistered educational settings. This role, offering part-time hours, involves guiding colleagues, managing SEND strategies, and ensuring quality support for vulnerable learners. The salary attached to this 2-day per week role is Teachers' Pay Range (fringe): £33,075 - £45,037 per annum, pro-rata for part-time hours, with an SEN allowance of between £2,679 - £5,285 per annum and TLR payment.

About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a critical area of work, ensuring that learners with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) receive appropriate support and advocacy, even outside of traditional registered settings. As our SENCO, you will play a key role in promoting inclusive practice, safeguarding, and quality assurance across diverse and often complex educational environments.
Under the direction of the Centre Manager, and as a member of the LIFE leadership team, this role will be instrumental in determining the strategic development of special educational needs (SEND) policy and provision within LIFE.
