About the Role

We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Licensing Compliance Officer to join the Council’s Licensing and Public Protection team. You will play a key role in administering the Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005, and other licensing functions, ensuring high standards of service delivery and legal compliance across the borough.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and enforce duties under the Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005, and associated legislation.
  • Provide efficient, effective, and reliable support services to maintain professional and legal standards.
  • Protect the health, safety, and welfare of residents, businesses, visitors, and employees within Hammersmith & Fulham.
  • Work collaboratively with businesses, providing guidance to help them meet their statutory responsibilities.
  • Support core Public Protection teams and services, including:
    • Environmental Public Protection
    • Food Safety & Infectious Diseases
    • Health & Safety, Animal Health, and Special Treatments
    • Licensing & Markets
    • Pest Control
    • Private Sector Housing & Trading Standards
  • Contribute to the Council’s statutory obligations, supporting high-quality service delivery in P1 critical services.

You will have:

  • Strong knowledge of licensing legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience in licensing administration, enforcement, or a related regulatory service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
