You’ll have the chance to work on a wide range of vehicles and plant – from cars and vans to gritters and specialist equipment – so no two days are the same. There’s plenty of overtime available for those who want it, but we also value work-life balance, giving you time for what matters outside of work.
We’re a growing, commercially‑minded organisation with strong public sector links. Our partnership with North Yorkshire Council ensures job security, while our expanding private sector workstreams offer variety and challenge. While we work closely with the Council, NY Highways is an independent business and not part of the Council itself.
