Qualifications

  • Must be Level 3 qualified in childcare or higher.
  • Experience in planning educational activities and reporting on child development.
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Job description
Nursery Practitioner
  • Pay: £16.35 per hour
  • Location: Nelson
  • Job Type: Temporary (January 2025 - Summer 2025 Initially)
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

We are seeking a Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our team from January 2025 until the summer although this may be longer/permanent for the right candidate. This role is ideal for a dedicated individual who is qualified to plan alongside teachers, assess, and report on student progress.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Collaborate with teachers to plan and implement educational activities.
  • Assess the development and learning of children, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
  • Report on children’s progress and any concerns to relevant parties.
  • Engage children in learning and play activities that foster growth and development.
  • Ensure the safety and well‑being of all children under your care.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must be Level 3 qualified in childcare or higher.
  • Experience in planning educational activities and reporting on child development.
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to professional development and staying updated with the latest educational practices.
