Job description

Our client has an established legionella company with who are looking for an experienced and competent Legionella Risk Assessor based in the Nottingham, area. The ideal candidate will come from a strong legionella background with extensive experience carrying out legionella risk assessments to a wide range of site bases, including cooling tower and process water contracts. Applications from, Derby, Birmingham, Warwick, Northampton, and the surrounding areas will be taken into consideration.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience working in this role within the water treatment/water hygiene industry.
  • Ideally, the applicant must have attended an approved Risk Assessment course, City & Guilds, WMS or Internal training courses – In house training.
  • Will ideally have experience carrying out risk assessments on cooling tower/process water systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office package.
  • Good working knowledge of commercial and industrial water systems, supplies and water regulations governing these.
Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out Legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 risk assessments.
  • Compiling schematic drawings and producing final documents for clients.
  • Providing recommendations and prices for remedial works, routine control measures through to quotations and carrying out such works based on the risk assessments.
  • Monthly temperature testing and water sampling.
  • Surveying of water systems and supplies as per ACOP L8.
  • Writing up accurate reports and attending meetings with clients to discuss findings of reports.
  • Build and maintain a good relationship with clients.
