We are currently recruiting for a well-established and expanding Water Treatment Company, who is looking for an experienced and qualified Legionella Risk Assessor based in or around the Newcastle area. The successful candidate will be covering a mixed portfolio of contracts across the North East of England. Ideally the candidate will hold a recognised legionella risk assessment qualification and will have experience in undertaking in depth risk assessments on a wide range of water systems. Work with a national water treatment company who offers a range of water treatment and legionella services to a national client base. Consideration will be given to applications from Durham, Sunderland, Morpeth, and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications / Experience

• Hold the City and Guilds Legionella Risk Assessment course or equivalent WMS qualification.
• Have in‑house training and extensive experience working within a risk assessor role.
• Have a proven track record of working as a legionella risk assessor / consultant within an established water hygiene/water treatment company.
• Have a good working knowledge of the water treatment industry guidelines and legislation, e.g. ACOP L8.
• Be competent in using the Microsoft Office Package.
• Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Role Will Encompass

• Conducting Legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 risk assessments across a varied site base.
• Compiling and creating schematic drawings with details, as well as producing final documents/reports for the clients.
• Providing recommendations and prices for remedial works, routine control measures through to quotations, and carrying out such works based on the risk assessments.
• Writing up appropriate reports and attending meetings to discuss findings of reports.
• Getting involved with the company’s Legionella management systems.
• Building and maintaining a good working rapport with clients/customers and staff.
• Dealing with problems as and when required appropriately and effectively.
• Prioritising workload and ensuring work is completed within the timescale.
• Travelling to sites as per client’s requirements.
