New roles! Our client, a leading London-based law firm renowned for its high-quality and complex work, is seeking two Legal Technology and Innovation Managers to join its expanding Lawtech team. These senior positions offer the opportunity to play a key role in shaping how the firm adopts and leverages emerging technologies across its legal practices.

The Role

As a Legal Technology and Innovation Manager, you will take a central role in transforming the firm’s approach to legal service delivery. Working closely with practice groups, Knowledge Lawyers, IT and business services teams, you will identify opportunities to improve efficiency, enhance client experience, and introduce innovative, technology-enabled solutions.

Your responsibilities will include leading the implementation and adoption of a wide variety of tools, such as artificial intelligence and generative AI platforms, collaboration technologies, document automation, process automation and robotics, workflow and expert systems, knowledge platforms, and data visualisation tools.

You will be responsible for scoping, designing, prototyping, and rolling out internal and client-facing lawtech solutions. This will include managing end-to-end project delivery, conducting requirements gathering, testing, and refining solutions, and ensuring smooth deployment and successful take-up across the firm. You will deliver training, demonstrations, and materials to support adoption, while acting as a trusted advisor to lawyers and business teams on the best use of technology.

The role also includes contributing to pitches and client presentations, supporting client engagements, evaluating new tools in the market, building vendor relationships, and maintaining strong awareness of industry developments. You will collaborate with other managers in the Lawtech team and will supervise and mentor junior colleagues, helping support the continued growth and maturity of the function.

About You

  • Qualification as a lawyer or at least 5 years’ experience supporting legal teams in technology adoption
  • Strong experience with leading legal technologies (AI, document automation, automation tools, collaboration platforms, data and workflow tools)

  • Knowledge of project/process management methodologies (Agile, Lean, Six Sigma)
