The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Secretary to join the firm's Commercial department. The successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support to fee earners, helping to ensure a seamless client experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing fee earners' diaries and preparing files for billing
  • Typing correspondence, photocopying, filing, and opening new files
  • Screening calls, sorting/prioritising mail, emails, and messages
  • Liaising with clients and third parties to support smooth transaction progress
  • Preparing and submitting Stamp Duty forms and Land Registry applications
  • Drafting straightforward legal documents as required
  • Providing professional and friendly service to clients, recognising when they may need additional support
  • Assisting with general administrative and reception duties when needed
What We're Looking For
  • Experience as a Legal Secretary in Commercial or a keen interest in Commercial work with the willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong IT skills (including Microsoft Office) and general administrative experience
  • A professional manner, with the ability to stay calm and focused under pressure
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to manage a varied workload at pace
  • Team player with the ability to build strong working relationships
Desirable
  • Legal Secretary Level 2 Certificate/Diploma
  • Experience with Investors in People and LEXCEL accreditation
  • Experience of submitting Stamp Duty/Land Registry applications and use of the Land Registry portal
