A leading legal recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Family Care Legal Secretary for their Chelmsford office. The role involves providing comprehensive secretarial support to three fee earners in a fast-paced and client-focused environment. Ideal candidates will possess fast typing skills, strong IT skills, and experience with case management systems. This is a Monday to Friday position in a pleasant working environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Family Care Legal Secretary is ideal.
  • Proven digital audio typing skills required.
  • Strong IT skills are essential, including case management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full secretarial support to three fee earners.
  • Manage diaries and screen communications.
  • Prepare trial bundles and billings for clients.

Legal Secretary

Our client an accredited Top Legal 500 multi- office firm of solicitors have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Family Care Legal Secretary to join their Family care Department based in Chelmsford . You will be providing support to three Fee Earners in a fast moving client focused environment .

This is a varied role that would suite someone who enjoys working in a fast paced environment and thrives under pressure.

The Role
  • You will provide full secretarial support to three fee Earners
  • Manage diaries
  • Screen e-mails, telephone calls and post
  • Open and closing files
  • Audio typing Using digital dictation, Drafting letters and responses with minimal supervision
  • Meeting with clients taking notes
  • Support Fee Earners with the preparation of bills
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, courts
  • Dealing with Child care , Divorce, Separation, Co-Habitation, Finances ,Civil partnerships
  • Preparation of trial bundles
  • General administration ,including filing ,photocopying, faxing and scanning
About You
  • Ideally You will be an experienced Family Care Legal Secretary
  • Fast and accurate typing skills including digital audio systems
  • Experience with case management
  • Strong IT Skills including Microsoft Word, Excel ,Outlook , previous experience using case management systems
  • Able to work on your own initiative
  • You will have a positive manner in dealing with clients
  • Excellent communication skills and a sympathetic ear
  • Hours Monday to Friday 9am- 5.30pm
  • Pleasant working environment
