Overview

Leading global technology services consultancy seeks Legal Director – Commercial Technology to join their highly skilled in-house legal team.

This is a newly created position to join a supportive and dynamic team, in a strategic role to be the Government and Public Sector legal lead on complex commercial deals and manage a team of 7 commercial lawyers. It will be to engage at Partner level in order to influence strategy and approach to contracting on both the client and supplier side, in addition to substantive legal advisory work and negotiations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Government and Public Sector legal work on complex commercial deals and manage a team of 7 commercial lawyers.
  • Engage at Partner level to influence strategy and approach to contracting on both the client and supplier side.
  • Provide substantive legal advisory work and negotiations.
  • Own a broad spread of project work including IT system implementation agreements, outsourcing/managed services agreements, engagement agreements, MSAs, framework agreements, cross-border complex tech, digital transformation, licensing, cloud and managed services.
  • Handle government and public sector agreements, tenders, RFP responses, and supplier agreements.
Qualifications
  • Over 10 years’ PQE and proven experience as a commercial technology lawyer.
  • Excellent knowledge of public sector agreements and public procurement regulations.
  • Experience from a top tier City law firm and/or in-house.
  • Experience managing a team of lawyers and working with technology/T&T businesses.
