Legal Director - Banking & Finance | Ipswich | 6+ PQE

This is an exciting opportunity to take a senior role in a Band 1 Chambers-ranked Banking & Finance team, recognised for its technical depth, pragmatic advice, and client-focused approach.

The Role
  • Lead and grow the Banking & Finance offering in Ipswich, servicing clients across East Anglia.
  • Advise on a broad range of matters including syndicated and bilateral lending, real estate finance, acquisition finance, refinancing, restructurings, and asset-backed lending.
  • Draft and negotiate facility agreements, security documents, fee letters, undertakings, and corporate authorities.
  • Manage transactions, liaise across teams, and provide technical guidance on high-value, complex deals.
  • Play a key role in business development, building long-term client relationships and raising the team\'s profile in the region.
About You
  • Qualified Solicitor with 6+ years\' PQE.
  • Strong technical knowledge, with experience advising lenders and borrowers.
  • Confident handling transactions with minimal supervision.
  • Ambitious and commercially focused, with a desire to grow a practice and mentor others.
