You will join a passionate and ambitious team that fosters collaboration and quality, helping us bring happiness to life through the power of play.

At Aristocrat, as Legal Counsel, you will deliver practical and commercially‑minded advice on diverse L&E legal matters across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India, Asia, and other areas. The position mainly supports the Senior Counsel for EMEA, India, and Asia, with additional opportunities to collaborate with the global L&E Legal team.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide ongoing aid on the entire scope of L&E legal issues, including guidance and assistance, employee relations, performance management, terminations, leaves of absence, accommodations, and cross‑border matters.
  • Support L&E activities across numerous regions and varying time zones.
  • Deliver timely, effective, practical, business‑friendly advice consistent with Aristocrat’s values, business objectives, and risk tolerance.
  • Manage high volumes of requests from multiple countries and time zones.
  • Help identify, prioritize, develop, and improve L&E‑related policies, processes, and mentorship documents.
  • Prepare and conduct education and training on a wide variety of L&E topics.
  • Monitor and communicate changes in L&E laws and regulations, and work with the business to build appropriate responses.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external clients and partners.
  • Maintain a friendly, respectful, and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Operate independently while collaborating with senior members of the global L&E legal function.
  • Demonstrate a dedication to self‑development and the values of the Legal Team and Aristocrat globally.
  • Act with honesty, integrity, and responsible corporate behavior.
What We’re Looking For
  • A UK or European qualified employment lawyer with a practising certificate.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in employment law, ideally with some in‑house experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team, developing strong working relationships.
  • Friendly, with a good sense of humor, low ego, and able to fit within a small, close‑knit L&E Legal team.
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment, handling competing priorities and delivering practical solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, business judgment, and analytical skills.
  • Strong desire to learn and provide practical mentorship in multiple countries.
  • Positive, productive demeanor, eager to provide the best service.
  • Professional judgment to know when to bring up matters and seek mentorship from senior team members.
  • Ability to work a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of 3 days a week in our central London office.
