Role Overview

Rutherford is exclusively partnered with a large alternative investment manager that are seeking a Legal Counsel to join the firm’s high-performing legal team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work across a broad range of legal and regulatory matters in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal support across a range of investment strategies including private equity, credit, infrastructure, and real assets.
  • Advise on fund formation, structuring, and maintenance of global alternative investment funds.
  • Support investment teams with transactional work, including co-investments, secondary transactions, and strategic investments.
  • Advise on regulatory and compliance matters affecting the business, including AIFMD, MiFID II, and other international regimes.
  • Liaise with external counsel and manage legal workstreams efficiently to balance risk and commercial priorities.
  • Assist with governance, corporate, and operational legal matters across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Contribute to strategic projects including product launches, jurisdictional expansion, and regulatory change management.
