Job description
Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced in‑house legal advisor to provide comprehensive legal support to Allianz Trade operations in the UK and Ireland, focusing on new product support, procurement, data protection and anti‑trust. The successful candidate must be a UK qualified solicitor or barrister with experience in the financial services sector.

Responsibilities
  • New product support – assist commercial teams with product wordings and endorsements, implementation of new products, and advise product development teams on legal implications and risks of new commercial initiatives.
  • Contracts – review, negotiate and advise on supplier and partner contracts and NDAs.
  • Legislation & regulations – research, analysis and assistance to business functions with implementation of applicable legislation and group‑wide policies and procedures, including insurance regulations, data protection and anti‑trust matters; work with the Compliance Officer on regulatory matters.
  • Disputes – assist in resolving third‑party complaints and contentious claims (with external counsel where needed).
  • Company Secretary support – ensure all filings are completed in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Skills
  • UK qualified barrister or solicitor, preferably 2+ years PQE.
  • Sufficient seniority, gravitas and experience to persuade and influence senior management and business personnel.
  • Solid knowledge and experience of company law, insurance law and regulations, preferably gained in‑house within an insurance or other financial services organisation.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, drafting and negotiation skills.
