Overview

Provide administrative support to the magistracy across Wales. Support advisory recruitment, justices training approvals, general bench support, magistrates rota.

Responsibilities
  • Support Advisory Recruitment Committees – conduct online interviews via Teams, manage the Affinix recruitment portal, process magistrate retirements and resignations.
  • Support Justices Training Approvals, Authorisations & Appraisal Committees – receive appraisals and applications, provide committee administrative support.
  • General Bench Support – send communications to the magistracy across Wales, respond appropriately.
  • Magistrates Rota – support teams in managing day‑to‑day running of the magistrate rota across Wales.
Working Conditions

Full time 37 hours per week. HMCTS welcomes part‑time, flexible and job‑sharing patterns in line with the MoJ Flexible Working policy.

Visa and Sponsorship

Skilled Worker Visa – from 22 July 2025 the government increased the salary threshold and skills level. This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for sponsorship under the current rules unless you have held a Skilled Worker visa continuously since before 22 July 2025.
