Job summary

An international law firm in Greater London is seeking a highly experienced Legal Accounting Specialist to join their dynamic Finance team. The role involves managing general ledger accounting, overseeing VAT returns, and preparing cashflow forecasts. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in legal accounting, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, BA in Accounting is preferred.
  • Part-qualified Accountant preferred.
  • Experience in legal accounting within a law firm of at least 5 years.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and control of general ledger accounting.
  • Review and control of monthly balance sheet & payroll benefit reconciliations.
  • Manage quarterly VAT return for London office.
  • Preparation of cashflow forecast reporting for London & Brussels office.
  • Review and set up of new AP vendors.
  • Support Finance supervisor with accounting projects.

Fantastic and unique opportunity for a highly experienced Legal Accounting Specialist to join the busy Finance team of this successful international law firm.

Responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of all financial accounting transactions, systems and processes whilst ensuring the on‑going improvement in quality of input together with more accurate output for the purposes of providing more timely management information to the London & Brussels management and NY accounting teams.

Duties
  • Maintenance and control of general ledger accounting
