We are seeking candidates for the role of Lecturer in Health to contribute to the provision of our undergraduate health professional’s foundation programme level 3 which feeds into a range of health professional programmes in the Faculty of Education, Health and Wellbeing.
As a qualified and experienced teacher for the post‑compulsory sector you will provide effective, up‑to‑date and stimulating face‑to‑face and online teaching and learning opportunities, leading to success and progression onto a range of health professional programmes including nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and podiatry. Applications welcomed from HCPC and NMC registered professionals with experience in the healthcare setting, teaching experience is advantageous.
One of three faculties in the University, the Faculty of Education, Health and Wellbeing has over 500 staff members and 11,000 students. The faculty comprises a wide and diverse range of subject areas, research and knowledge exchange activities.
The School of Nursing and Midwifery has over 140 staff and includes a wide range of professionally qualifying health care courses. We are growing to meet the needs of people who wish to work with a host of employers in healthcare and related areas. We include courses in nursing, nursing associate, public health and a wide range of continuing professional development opportunities. In recent years a vibrant foundation year has been developed, feeding into our health professional programmes based in the Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health professional programmes.
The role is to provide teaching and support to Foundation Year (FY) students level 3 and to support the school aims and objectives.
