A leading UK educational institution is seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Biotechnology to contribute to its MSc and undergraduate programs. This role involves providing academic leadership, developing innovative educational practices, and actively participating in external networks. Candidates should have a PhD in biotechnology, prior teaching experience, and a passion for enhancing student outcomes. The position offers a fixed-term contract for 2 years and embraces a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
We are looking for candidates with expertise in biotechnology, who will teach across our MSc Biotechnology, as well as microbiology and molecular biology provision within our undergraduate, post graduate and degree apprenticeship provision. You will be a passionate academic with an excellent and accelerating profile in education and professional practice. You will provide academic leadership in curriculum and education development within the department which may include formal educational leadership roles, initiatives that transform student outcomes, and innovations in educational practice. This work may be grounded in the scholarship of teaching and learning, or pedagogy, or may bring experiences from the world of practice. The role is offered fixed-term for 2 years.
