Job description

The Commercial Industries and Access School at Kingston College is looking to appoint a Lecturer to teach courses across a range of levels and be a personal tutor on the Health & Social Care courses.

This post will sit within the Health & Social Care curriculum area with teaching across a wide range of levels including Level 2 & 3 BTEC s, T-Level and Level 4 and 5 HNC/D. You may also be expected to teach on Sport and Uniformed Services.

The courses are predominantly coursework based and therefore we seek an innovative practitioner to design engaging coursework assignments through a range of assessment methods that can inspire our learners. Following our agreed schemes of work, assessment schedules and student monitoring procedures are an essential component of this work to ensure that students meet and exceed their target grades. The post will also be involved in internal verification activities and organising and taking part in external verification.

As our Lecturer, we d like you to hold a degree or relevant professional qualifications in a Health & Social Care subject, hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards) and have excellent teaching skills in Health & Social Care programmes. With relevant and appropriate industry experience in Health & Social Care, you ll have an awareness of academic quality standards, participated in recent and relevant continuous professional development.

With energy, enthusiasm and passion for the subject and education, you ll be able to use new technologies to enhance teaching and learning and be receptive to new ideas and initiatives with a creative approach to problem solving. You ll have good planning, preparation, organisational and administrative skills with good attention to detail, able to work well under pressure to agreed deadlines.
