Learning Support Worker - SEND

Location: Croydon, London (Greater London) – Full‑time, Permanent

Salary: £26,394.25 per year, inclusive of Outer London Weighting

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and resilient learning support worker to provide high‑quality experiences for young people with complex needs, attending college 2 to 4 days a week as part of the Pathway to Adulthood.

Key responsibilities
  • Work appropriately and effectively with students
  • Promote students’ social and emotional development
  • Respond calmly and effectively to displayed behaviours
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Use excellent communication skills to work effectively with the class teams, parents/carers and other professionals and keep clear records of support and progress
Qualifications and experience

Ideally you have experience working with young people with a range of complex special education needs, including autism, health, physical, emotional and behavioural support needs. If you have experience in a linked field, are a fast learner with the ability to build good working relationships, and can demonstrate the skills listed above, you are also encouraged to apply.
