Job summary

A reputed recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Learning Support Practitioner to provide classroom and 1:1 support for learners with complex needs including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH. This full-time role requires working hours of 35 hours per week, ensuring the academic and social development of students while monitoring behavior. Ideal candidates should have experience in SEN or care settings and possess a flexible and empathetic approach. The role is temporary to ongoing until 19th December, with opportunity for extension.

Qualifications

• Experience in special educational needs or care contexts supporting young individuals with complex needs.
• Capability to provide personal care without manual handling.
• Flexibility and empathy in approach.

Responsibilities

• Support academic and social development in class.
• Provide 1:1 assistance and personal care where required.
• Monitor behaviour and encourage positive engagement.
• Work collaboratively with tutors and the wider support team.
• Ensure safeguarding and safety standards are maintained.
