What does a Learning Support Assistant do?
  • Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis to ensure they are succeeding both academically and pastorally, responding to their individual needs
  • Working alongside class teachers and other school staff, providing essential additional support
  • Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all students, improving the whole school learning journey
  • Delivering catch‑up and intervention sessions
What will you need for this job?

For this Learning Support Assistant job, you will need to demonstrate a clear desire to work with children and young people. Additionally, previous experience working with children and young people in education would be beneficial, but not essential. Experience working within care, fostering, tutoring, coaching or other childcare settings are all desirable!
