Are you passionate about making a tangible difference in a child's life? We are looking for an inspiring and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join the dynamic team at Chandlers Field Primary Academy, one of our newer schools.

This is a fulfilling, fixed term, part-time position from January 2026 to July 2026, where you will play a crucial role, providing essential one-to-one support in Year 1 (Key Stage 1). Your focus will be on nurturing the children's potential, boosting their confidence, and ensuring they access a rich, inclusive educational experience.

Start Date : Jan 2026

Contract Term : Fixed Term (January 2026 - July 2026)

Hours : 30 hours per week (Term Time only)

Working Pattern : 08:45 – 15:15 Monday to Friday (including a 30‑minute unpaid break)

Setting : Year 1 (Key Stage 1)

Key Impact Areas and Responsibilities
  • Champion the Pupil: Deliver tailored one-to-one support, implementing the child's health care plan (education, social, behaviour and personal)
  • Foster Independence: Promote development and independence in a challenging and secure environment, employing strategies to recognise and reward achievement
  • Manage and Support: Use constructive behaviour management strategies in line with the school policy to promote self-control
  • Curriculum Delivery: Assist with the planning and preparation of activities and lead small group interventions.
  • Holistic Care: Assist with the welfare and well‑being of the pupil, including dressing and toileting where required.
What Will Make You Stand Out
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate a genuine concern and understanding for children and possess the following desirable qualities :
  • Proven experience supporting young children, particularly within Key Stage
  • Strong knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice
  • Excellent ability to liaise and communicate effectively with adults and children
  • Proactive approach, using initiative when necessary.
  • Familiarity with and commitment to practising safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • A relevant Level 3 diploma or equivalent qualification is desirable.

  • Please be aware that this role can only be worked in the UK from the location provided and not from overseas.
