Exciting Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant Role

Location: Royston, Hertfordshire (SG8 Area)

Hours: 08:30am - 16:30pm

Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist with personal care needs where required, including helping with feeding, dressing, and toileting, ensuring the students' comfort and dignity at all times.
  • Supporting Learning: Provide one-on-one or small group support to children, adapting lessons and resources to meet their individual needs.
  • Care Plans: Follow individual care and learning plans, ensuring students' health, safety, and development needs are met.
  • Therapeutic Support: Assist with sensory learning activities, providing therapeutic interventions to help children with emotional and sensory regulation.
  • Behavioural Support: Implement behavioural strategies as directed by teachers and specialists, ensuring a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Developing Communication: Support students with communication difficulties through Makaton and other communication strategies.
