Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work within the PRSP (Pupil Referral Support Provision) of a secondary school in Barnet. This is a full-time role, requiring commitment 5 days a week, supporting students on a 1:1 basis.

The successful candidate will work closely with pupils who require additional behavioural, emotional, or academic support, helping them to engage positively with learning and make progress both inside and outside the classroom.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support to students within the PRSP
  • Support pupils with their academic work, behaviour, and emotional needs
  • Assist in implementing individual support plans
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage student engagement
  • Support students in developing social and life skills
Requirements
  • Experience working with secondary-aged students (preferred)
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEMH, SEN, or challenging behaviour is highly desirable
  • A calm, patient, and consistent approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to commit to full-time, 5 days per week
