Job summary

An educational services provider is seeking an Outreach Tutor in Essex to provide personalized one-to-one tuition for students with special educational needs (SEND). You will create tailored lesson plans and support students in developing confidence and life skills, reporting progress to families. The role offers flexible hours between 6-30 hours per week at a pay rate of £21 - 25 per hour through an Umbrella Company.

  • Child-related qualification necessary.
  • Ability to provide references for the past two years.
  • Previous UK education experience required.

Learning Outreach Tutor - Essex

Outreach Learning Prospero Teaching works closely with Local Councils and Schools across the UK, and we currently have a strong need for experienced one-to-one SEN Tutors in Essex.

As an Outreach Tutor, you'll create, plan and deliver personalised 1:1 sessions for each student. Your role is to support their re-integration into education, offering tailored tuition that replaces school during this period. Every young person receives a set number of hours, and Prospero will support you throughout by checking progress and requesting weekly reports.

  • Hours: 6-30 hours P/W

Rate of pay: £21 - 25 P/H via Umbrella Company

Your Role
  • Provide one-to-one or small-group tuition for students with SEND, helping them build confidence, life skills, independence, and safe community access, including simple cooking.
  • Create and adapt individual lesson plans that target specific learning needs.
  • Track progress and offer regular, constructive updates to students and their families.
Eligibility
  • Child-related or Education qualification.
  • Previous UK education experience.
  • Experience working with SEND.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.
  • Ability to provide references for the past two years.
