Overview

Roberts Primary School is a state-of-the-art, 3-form school in North Dudley with facilities including Nursery, wraparound care and an Environment Zone with a 4-acre forest school. The school is on an exciting journey of development with a newly formed leadership team who are forward thinking, research driven and committed to the well-being of all staff and pupils.

Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Mentor to join our school team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting children\'s emotional, social and academic development, ensuring that every child can thrive and achieve their best.

Responsibilities
  • Build positive relationships with pupils to help remove barriers to learning.
  • Provide targeted support for children who may face challenges with behaviour, attendance, confidence, or wellbeing.
  • Work closely with teachers, families and external agencies to create tailored support plans.
  • Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions to promote resilience, engagement and progress.
  • Be a positive role model, encouraging pupils to develop skills for life both inside and outside the classroom.

Role details

The Learning Mentor role is 35 hours a week / 39 weeks a year (Term time + 5 training days).
