Learning Mentor - Primary (KS1 & KS2)

Are you passionate about supporting children to grow academically, socially, and emotionally? We are seeking a warm, committed, and enthusiastic Learning Mentor to join our friendly primary school team. This role begins as soon as possible and involves supporting pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2.

As a Learning Mentor, you will work closely with pupils who require additional guidance to overcome barriers to learning. You will support their emotional wellbeing, promote positive behaviour, and help them develop confidence, resilience, and motivation.
Deliver 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with learning, social, or emotional needs
Build strong, trusting relationships to encourage positive behaviour and self-confidence
Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams to provide targeted support
Contribute to a calm, nurturing, and inclusive school environment
Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and external agencies
Adapt flexibly to the changing needs of pupils and the school day
A proactive, reliable, and compassionate individual who truly enjoys working with children
Patience, emotional maturity, and the ability to remain calm under pressure
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships quickly
Experience in schools, childcare, mentoring, or youth work (desirable but not essential)
Good competency in English and Maths to support pupils effectively
