Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a full-time Learning Mentor for a primary school in Camden starting January 2026. The successful candidate will support pupils with SEMH needs and help transition them back into mainstream classes. This brand-new role within the Additional Resource Provision will focus on providing a calm and nurturing environment, encouraging students’ engagement with learning. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in pupils' educational journeys.

Learning Mentor - Primary School (Camden)

100 to 118 day rate

We are working with a welcoming primary school in Camden who are seeking a full-time Learning Mentor to join their team from January 2026 (induction start).

This is a brand-new role within the school and an exciting opportunity to work in their newly established Additional Resource Provision (ARP).

Role Details:
  • Full-time position
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm
  • Start date: January 2026 (induction)
  • Initially supporting 5 pupils as part of a wider ARP team
About the Role:

You will be supporting pupils with SEMH needs, helping them to engage positively with learning and school life. A key part of the role will be supporting children as they transition back into mainstream classes, acting as a consistent and trusted figure throughout this process.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • A good understanding of SEMH
  • Experience working with primary-aged children
  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
