A local government authority is looking for a Learning Leader for outdoor education in country parks. You will engage with children through various educational programs, workshops, and community activities. This role requires enthusiasm for working outdoors, preferably with experience in education. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Learning Leader to join our team at Queen Elizabeth & Staunton Country Park. Are you enthusiastic, creative and passionate about working with children in the great outdoors? We are offering the opportunity to become part of our friendly and supportive team, in two of Hampshire’s varied country parks.
The Education and Community team plays an important role delivering quality and engaging outdoor education to our visiting schools and families.
Staunton Country Park offers a deep connection to local history and horticultural connections as well as playing a vital role in connecting the local community to our green spaces. Queen Elizabeth Country is one of the largest country parks in Hampshire and sits within the South Downs National Park boasting amazing views and vast woodland for visitors to explore.
In this role, you will support the Education, Community & Events team by delivering high quality and engaging sessions for both visiting schools and families throughout the year. This will be in the form of outdoor based curriculum linked activities, forest school sessions, birthday parties, self-guided trails and seasonal events (including Halloween & Christmas). You’ll have the opportunity to be involved in community focused activities such as youth volunteers, supporting young people to gain experience within the outdoor sector.
