Job description
Overview

Seeking a Learning and Behaviour Mentor for a SEMH school. Protocol Education is looking to recruit a learning support assistant / teaching assistant to join a pupil referral unit across two separate sites in Clacton.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with social emotional mental health (SEMH) needs.
  • Assist in teaching and learning in a positive, friendly manner.
  • Build strong relationships and rapport with individual children.
  • Respond to challenges with a robust, strong character.
  • Attend sessions 5 days a week between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Social care background or experience supporting SEND.
  • No previous experience required; passion for supporting children with special needs.
  • Required DBS checks and training.
  • All applicants must have appropriate qualifications and training; see FAQs.
Benefits & Working Conditions

Full‑time position with statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position, with option to become permanent at a later date.
