Job summary

A leading defence and aerospace company is looking for a Principal Engineer in Systems Engineering located in Barrow-in-Furness. This role involves managing requirements for major control systems and supporting the development of functional designs. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering, strong experience in regulated industries, and skills in lifecycle requirements management. The position offers a hybrid working model and a competitive salary up to £60,000.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in Engineering discipline.
  • Experience in regulated industry such as Defence, Oil and Gas, or Nuclear.
  • Professional knowledge and experience in C&I design across the lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and assure consistency within the requirement set for 12 major C&I systems.
  • Manage various requirements stakeholders for consistency across the Centralised C&I team.
  • Support the development of a functional design for the systems within scope.

Skills

Degree qualified in Engineering discipline
Experience within regulated industry such as Defence, Oil and Gas, or Nuclear
Professional knowledge and experience in C&I design
Stakeholder management & communication skills
Well developed experience in full lifecycle requirements management
