Overview

Leisure & Culture Dundee is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) SC042421. It was established by Dundee City Council in July 2011 to deliver leisure, sports, library, information and cultural services for the city. www.leisureandculturedundee.com Active Dundee is searching for various Coaches for delivering term-time programmes across the Leisure and Culture Dundee facilities. We are looking for Trampolining sessions delivered to a range of age groups.

Requirements
  • Level 2 or above Trampolining SVQ and/or NGB Level 2 Sports Coaching Award based on what it is requested for what sports you are applying for.
Responsibilities
  • As part of a dynamic Active Dundee section, you will lead the delivery of the sports programme (Trampolining) for Leisure & Culture Dundee, coaching to a variety of individuals and groups, whilst adhering, where relevant, to Scottish Governing Body (SGB) guidelines and specified coach to participant ratios.
The Individual

The successful candidate will have relevant work or voluntary experience in practical sports coaching, specifically in Trampolining. They will have demonstrated experience working with children and young people from a variety of backgrounds in physical activity settings, including early years (age 3+), school-aged children, teenagers, and adults. The candidate must be confident in delivering inclusive sessions that are accessible and engaging for participants of all abilities. They will have experience in planning and delivering structured activity or sports sessions that are developmentally appropriate and tailored to the needs of diverse groups. Excellent organisational and planning skills are essential, as is the ability to manage time and resources effectively to ensure high-quality delivery. The individual must be able to work both independently and as part of a team, showing initiative and reliability in all aspects of their role. They should be strongly self-motivated, with a genuine passion for sport and physical activity, and a commitment to creating positive experiences for all participants. The ability to communicate effectively with children, young people, and adults is crucial, as is the capacity to build strong, respectful relationships with participants, colleagues, and parents or carers. Excellent interpersonal skills are required, along with the flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing needs and environments. The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and enthuse others, and to act as a positive role model within the coaching environment. The role requires a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends where necessary, to meet the needs of the programme. The successful candidate must also be committed to ongoing personal and professional development, including attending relevant training and qualifications. Finally, the individual must be a member of the PVG Scheme or be willing to become a member, with a satisfactory Scheme Record and/or Scheme Record Update.
