Lead Software Engineer – (React)

Guildford | Hybrid | Permanent

We’re looking for an experienced React Team Lead to join a growing engineering function and take ownership of front-end delivery for modern, React-based portal applications. This is a genuine player–coach role : you’ll be writing code, shaping technical direction, and leading a small team of engineers in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Staying hands‑on, building and delivering React applications, features, and solutions
• Leading a front‑end / full‑stack team working on React‑based platforms
• Running sprint planning, stand‑ups, and code reviews
• Mentoring junior developers and setting clear technical expectations
• Collaborating closely with Product Owners and QA to turn requirements into reliable, user‑friendly features
• Driving good Agile practice, including Jira, CI / CD pipelines, and test automation
• Contributing to architecture decisions and longer‑term technical direction
• Supporting partner and third‑party developers where required
