Job Summary

Lead Social Worker and Safeguarding Lead at Elysium Healthcare's Farmfield Hospital in Charlwood, Surrey. Manage a caseload, support a multidisciplinary team, and lead adult safeguarding for men with mental health and forensic needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessments, CPA reports, Mental Health Tribunals, Manager's Hearings.
  • Supervise junior staff and deliver quality supervision and appraisal.
  • Lead and promote child and adult safeguarding, including induction and update training.
  • Provide leadership in quality assurance meetings and multidisciplinary decisions on non‑medical mental capacity issues.
  • Maintain liaison with external agencies (MAPPA, Local Authority Social Services, CMHT, FIND, FOLS, Police, Probation).
  • Support carers and families of detained patients.
  • Encourage service users to engage in their care plans and achieve their goals.
Key Qualifications
  • Social Work qualification.
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar environment.
