Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote working with 1 day in every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

Our site reliability engineers (SREs) empower users with high availability, stellar performance, and rich features to pursue their goals.

About the role:

This is a hands-on role. Working within the Software Engineering team, you will run the SRE function daily, collaborating with the Head of Engineering and cross-functional teams to develop solutions and enhance user experiences.

You will review, lead, and drive our strategy on software maturity, security, performance, and scalability across our cloud infrastructure. The role offers a high degree of autonomy to shape the team’s future using your expertise in:

• Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure, Platform Management
• API development and deployment using containerized environments like Kubernetes
• Implementing and enhancing Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform
• Collaborating with stakeholders in an agile environment
• Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members
• AWS services, especially IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
• CloudFormation/CDK
• Experience with serverless computing
