Location: Remote working *1 day in every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

Our site reliability engineers (SREs) empower users with high availability, stellar performance, and rich features to pursue their goals.

About the role

This is a hands-on role. Working within the Software Engineering team, you will manage the SRE function daily, collaborating with the Head of Engineering and cross-functional teams to develop solutions and positive user experiences.

The successful candidate will lead and shape our strategy for the maturity, security, performance, and scalability of our software and services across cloud infrastructure. You will have significant autonomy to influence the team's future direction, leveraging your extensive background and skills in:

• Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Platform management
• Development and deployment of APIs in containerized environments such as Kubernetes
• Designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines
• Implementing and enhancing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically Terraform
• Collaborating with business stakeholders in an agile environment
• Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members
• Working with AWS services, particularly IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
• Using CloudFormation and CDK
• Experience with serverless computing
